Will I ever have kids? Honestly, I don’t know.
Upon my 25th birthday, I have begun to seriously think about my “future”.
What does my future hold?
What careers will I have?
When/will I find a long term partner?
When/will I have a family?
Where/will I settle down?
When will I die?
How will I die?
These are questions I have been asking myself my whole life. But it feels different now.
I am 25 years old, as of a couple weeks ago. This is the age when my parents met. One of my best friends, who is also 25, is getting married this year. I’m going to be a bridesmaid. A bridesmaid?!?! Since when did I become an adult???
If you’re reading this, and you’re older than 25 you might be shaking your head and snickering at me. If you’re reading this, and you’re younger than 25, you might be feeling a newly-found sense of gratitude and relief that you aren’t 25 yet.
If you’re 25, or close to it, and reading this, you might be interested in what I have to say. But there’s really no way of knowing if you can relate to me or not, because you know what I am learning about 25 year olds?
We are like a box of chocolate, you never know what you’re going to…
