I wanted to write about this topic, because it’s something I have struggled with my whole life. My body. My weight. My diet. My appearance. My idea of “healthy”. But something I realized recently, is that I have been asking myself the wrong questions all along: What do I need to eat in to be “healthier” and maintain a desired weight? What kind of exercise will make me look the way I want to? What sort of activities are “good” to do and what are “bad”, in order to maintain or improve my overall “health”?

Although these are valid questions, they are not the only questions one should be wondering. What if I asked myself: What does my body need to feel good? What do I truthfully want to eat right now? What are my energy levels in this moment? Do I honestly feel up for this work-out or this party?

When I ask myself these sorts of questions, I get responses that I wouldn’t normally get. I get realer, more accurate, responses. And the more I ask myself these questions, the better I get at answering them. And the better my body feels.

I want to share with you some methods I have used that have helped me get in touch with what my body needs to feel good. These are things that I found to be helpful, and I can’t guarantee they will all work you for- but maybe one of them will! What everyone needs is different. Thats okay! Try what you…
